My "Picture People" Picture

Turns out that waiting a month since my last Picture People picture attempt paid off! These pictures are just too cute! I dont know which one to choose for my wall! There are way too many cute pictures to upload on my blog so make sure you check out the rest of them on the Picasa album!
Nothing new this way. Rodney has been gone since Monday on the ship. He'll come home for one night and then he's gone again for another three days. Its just hard because of not having a car to get around. When he gets back hopefully he'll have some time to teach me how to drive the truck. Yes, I'm going to try one more time! This time he's taking me to a secluded spot and taking the kids out of the car. It will be me all by my lonesome but, he'll be in sight so if I get in trouble... he can help me! Rodney Jr. has missed soccer the last two weeks because of Rodneys surgery (he is doing good), and because of Rodney being underway. So, he's not too happy, he keeps asking me if he can go. Yet another reason I need to learn to drive the truck!

Watch the drop of drool... it doesn't move!

He loves his ducky!

Like he knows how cute he is!

He's starting to get annoyed with me.

Just some pics

I tried to upload a video of the kids playing in the rain on Sunday but, it wouldn't let me. So, instead, I decided to share some pictures with you....

Plant Life

I took my netflix movies out to the mailbox at 6am this morning and I noticed a nice batch of Plumeria growing on my neighbors bush so I thought I would take a picture of it and share with you some of the common plants we see around here. The pics are a little dark because the sun wasn't quite out yet.

These are Plumeria flowers. Supposedly they smell really good but, I can't smell anything so, I couldn't tell ya! I see these flowers the most around the island.

This is our Papaya tree. They also call it Guava. We've picked a few and gave them to the kids but they really don't like it much. I'm weird about eating anything that grows here. Stupid, I know. Its exactly the same thing I buy at the store. I'm just strange!

This is our banana tree. I'm not sure if you can eat these ones right off the tree or not but, I know some of the trees are eating bananas and some are cooking bananas. We have a eating one in front of our house but, I still can't tell the difference. This one doesn't have the flower anymore but, they grow one big purple flower that hangs down and it reminds me of Seymore on Little Shop of Horrors.

A close up of the bananas.

Typical

I started to take this video because Rodney was being really cute pretending to play a horn on Rodneys snorkel. He was using his fingers and dancing and humming before I turned on the camera but, of course he stopped when I turned it on. And of course, when one kid is getting attention for being cute or funny, the other is not happy. As you can see by Tatums reaction. But, this is a typical day. Sometimes I can block out the whinning, sometimes it goes right through me and I'll either lock myself in the bathroom or send the kids to their beds. They usually stop at that point and come back down. haha. Ok, enjoy the video, I have to go deal with them throwing toys at the wall!

Moms Group II

The kids and I went to moms group again today. It was a good time as usual. I met a new mom who has a brand new baby and I can't believe that it was just three months ago when Tristan was that small! He's getting so big already and it makes me so sad! I wish all of you could see him the way he is right now and I wish I could see all the kids back home grow up over the next two years!
We didn't do much, just hung out and talked. So here are some pics of today.

A Day at the Beach II

We had another picnic on the beach this weekend. Our favorite spot was taken so we had to go to another beach. This one wasn't as nice and there were more rocks than sand but, we still had a lot of fun. Tristan was great. He stayed in his little tent for 5 hours! We bought him a play mat with the dangling toys and he loved it!
Our friend Tim is really into scuba diving and he has an underwater scooter that he brought with him. They put Rodney on it and he had a blast! It was amazing that he knew what to do and was so confident about it! If it wasn't a $300 'toy' we would buy one for him!
Tatum didn't feel that great that day so she was really clingy and no one could joke around with her because she would get upset. In the picasa album you can see me bringing her out of the water because she was back and forth about who she wanted to be with. After the third time bringing her out I wasn't very happy because the rocks in the ocean hurt my feet and I kept falling.
Yesterday we tried to attempt the Spanish Steps with all three kids. Its a beautiful spot that I would love to explore but the only way to get there is to climb down a cliff. They have ropes the whole way down to help you but, about halfway down I decided that it was too dangerous for the kids so I made Rodney take us back up. I'll have to get a babysitter to do that one! You dont notice it at the time but, its a real workout! My legs are killing me today!!

For those of you who dont belive I'm still alive, here's a pic of me.

Mom's Group

Well, its been almost a week since my last blog, and I'm sorry for those of you who are addicted to it! But, really, nothing has been going on this week. I forgot to take my camera to moms group yesterday so, you almost didn't get this post but, thanks to Amy having her camera, and me stealing her pics off of Picasa (thanks Amy!!) I was able to write something for you guys.
This moms group was moved to the chapel on one of the bases here. We used to have them at peoples houses but I guess it just got too big and you could barely hear anyone talk. This is like my third time going to group and let me tell you, it is something that I look forward to EVERY WEEK! It gives the kids a chance to play with other kids and give them two hours without me yelling at them. ;c) And, it gets me out of the house and a chance to speak to other adults besides Rodney! Yesterday one of the ladies did a song and dance for the kids using sign language. Of course, my kids weren't involved because Rodney was too busy eating a cupcake and Tatum found a piece of paper and pencil and I couldn't pull her away from that. We also made a Valentines day card for Daddy. We put Tristans foot prints on it with Rodney and Tatums handprint. I think us moms had more fun making the cards than the kids did!
Here are some pics. I plan on taking my camera next week and hopefully get some good shots of all the kids. You know how I LOVE to take kids pictures!

Rodney showing Miss Amy his cup cake. He opens his mouth really wide and raises his eyebrows when he takes a bite.

This is Amy and one of her boys, Tyler

This is a shot of the group. It was kind of small this week (or maybe it seemed so since we were in a bigger area), but you can see how the kids out number us! Oh, Tatum is on the left at the table with her pencil and paper and you can't see Rodney because he's sitting on the floor next to the food table eating his cupcake.

Beach Day

Yesterday was a great day. Rodney and I decided to spend the day at the beach and cookout. It ended up being quite the event. A bunch of Rodneys friends showed up and we all had a blast. Probably stayed there around 7 hours or so. I posted some pics but it wouldn't let me post anymore. If you want to see the rest of the pics from yesterday you can see them on the picasa album.
The kids wanted nothing to do with Rodney and I. They played with Mr. Tim and Mr. Wolf. And they loved playing with the water spout more than the ocean! Rodney Jr. swam all day. The kids didn't have a nap and we never heard one whine out of them. It was great! We're hoping to do this almost every weekend from now on. It was a nice way to get out of the house and enjoy the nice weather.

Rodney Jr.'s First Soccer Game

Rodney Jr. had his first soccer game yesterday. It was really something to see! Of course, our video camera is shot so we didn't get any video of it. I brought my camera but didnt' realize until I got there that I had no memory card. So, luckily I had Rodney's camera with me. I've learned to carry his around everywhere we go incase there is something that I want to take a picture of.
It was noon and it was HOT!! I didn't know it at the time but, in that short hour, I was turning into a lobster! Rodney and the kids didn't get any sun at all. Guess it was just my time to be lucky. Great.
Hope you enjoy the pics.

Here's the line up at the start of the game.

Rodney doesn't know what he's doing. He just chases everyone around.

If I could remove my voice from this video I would! I hate to hear myself! Anyways, right before the play started I noticed a plane landing. (The airport is really near the fields). I no sooner said to the mom next to me, "Rodney is going to get distracted by the plane", when the whistle blew and instead of kicking the ball, he pointed up to the plane. I hope this kid becomes a pilot one day becuase he surely isn't showing signs of being a pro soccer player! haha.

Sing Sing

Yesterday we went to playgroup. The kids had a blast as usual. I like seeing them play with other kids. Tatum has an issue with sharing right now. If other kids come over and take things from her she throws a crying tantrum. But, I show her something else thats cool to play with and shes all better for a while. Once she finds something she likes to play with, she wants to play with it for a long time!

Last night as I was making dinner Tatum decided she wanted to sing and dance. I wish I could have got a better video but when she knew the camera was on her she bacame shy. Its still cute.

Not too much going on today. I decided not to take the kids with the rest of the playgroup to a fruit world thing. I just dont think I could handle all three kids in an environment like that. We'll save it for another day.

This is Rodney Jr.s soccer uniform. Its a size small but equivilent to a size 6-8. He's not going to be able to wear the shorts, as you can see they are around his ankles, and the top is so big I dont know what to do with it! There are no numbers on the back because they said they didnt have time to put them on. Once again, a joy of being in Guam! He's not even the smallest one on his team!!!

The Chumorro's hard at work in our backyard.

No power tools here. They use machetes to cut down trees and weedwhackers to cut the grass.

Crossed Eyed, Flapping Booger

Haven't had much to write lately cause not much is going on. Rodney has duty today so the kids and I are bored. Probably going to put them to bed early and try to get some scrapping done.

Super bowl (morning) was fun. We had a few people over and some good food. I was especially happy that the Patriots lost even though I dont like the Manning brothers. Rodneys friend, Gene, was over here the whole weekend. He is the kids best friend. They call him Mr. Wolf. (thats his last name). Anytime they want something they know we would say no to, they go to him and he gives it to them. The video here is of him getting them in 'trouble' by showing them how to turn on the faucet outside. Its not much to watch but I thought the video of Tristan was cute and since some of you were upset that you didnt get to see him in the last video, I decided to put it on. And yes, he really is ALWAYS that quiet!

Sideways Boredom

Today was a store day. We went to the NEX for a few things, had lunch in the foodcourt and then went to the grocery store. So, nothing new to report. But, this morning we were just having fun watching the kids be bored. They do the silliest things when they think no one is watching. Sorry this video is sideways, I thought maybe I would be able to turn it but, turns out I can't but, its still cute anyways thats why I decided to put it on here. Hope you dont have any problems seeing it. If you watch in the background when Rodney was helping Rodney Jr. with his pants, Rodney Jr. pulled up his pants without pulling up his underwear and Rodney felt this was comical. haha.

Tonight we have a few of Rodney's friends over. One of them made us dinner and it was very yummy. I've been eating some really good meals the last few days. My tummy is happy! :cP We have a lot of snacks to make for tomorrow for the super bowl. Even though it will be on here at 9am, we're eating like we're watching it with you guys at 6pm. I should have thrown a breakfast dish in there but.... eh, who needs it?

Rain Rain, Go Away

The last two days have been sort of 'blah'. Yesterday the kids and I waited and waited and waited to go outside to the playground but it just wouldn't stop raining. Tristan was fussy with a fever so I didn't want to take him out in the rain and make it worse. So, instead, I let the kids color on the walls with their chalk. They were having fun and being good and so I went upstairs to check on Tristan. When I came down, I found the kids took their opportunity to show me how bored they were. Tatum colored all over everything she wasn't supposed to. Good thing it comes off easily with water.
Finally, right before Rodney was due home from work, the sun came out. I ran the kids over to the playground as Rodney was pulling up. He decided to run to the mini-mart up the street for some milk and not even a minute after he was gone, the skys opened up and it started to pour. I tried running as fast as I could with three kids but, we all ended up getting soaked!
Today is a beautiful day but, the kids and I are stuck because Rodney had to go to work. I have no idea when he will be home so, this beautiful Saturday may be wasted. We spent all morning at the park and I may take them back over there just so we can get away from these walls!
I desperately need sleep. I've been up since 4am and Tristan wouldn't take a nap until Rodney and Tatum woke up from theirs. Go figure.
Hope everyone back home has a better weekend!
Starting off so nice!

BUSTED!!!

Sorry Mommy
