Nothing New

Not too much is new. Yesterday we had soccer. The coach called me and told me they were splitting up the teams because there were too many kids so, he asked Rodney to be his assistant coach on Rodney Jr.'s team. So, now I'm back to watching all three kids, even on soccer days, because Rodney has to focus his attention on all of the kids not just Rodney Jr anymore. They are all usually so good on soccer days though. The baby usually has a bottle and sleeps most of the hour and Tatum has her 'colors' that shes only allowed to have on soccer days. We still have at least one moment with Rodney Jr. where he complains about not wanting to play soccer and I tell him he either picks soccer or bed and, he's all better all of a sudden and goes back to kicking the ball around. They also had fun decorating a present for their friend Tyler. His birthday is today. They colored with marker (which I NEVER let them do... Tatum gets more on herself than on what she's coloring), and then they put stickers all over it. Tyler is Amy's son, and if you haven't figured it out yet, Amy is my only friend on this island. She leaves a year before we do and I dont know who I'm going to talk to then. :c(
Today my poor baby Tristan had to get shots. :c( I felt so bad! But I made Rodney go in there with him and stayed with the other two. It just breaks my heart and I can't take it! As soon as we got home he seemed to have a fever already so, I'll have to be watching out for that all day and probably deal with some fussiness. He's doing good though. He weighs 11lbs 9oz. I guess thats normal cause she didn't say anything about him being underweight. But, looks like he's going to need the surgery at 6 months. I could wait longer if I wanted to but she said its the same risks all the way up to a year and any older than that, he'll have a harder time with the pain so, looks like I'm stuck. I'm a nervous wreck about it though. I wish it was me instead of him!
On our way home from the dr.'s I noticed this really neat rainbow in the distance. It seemed like it was vertical strips of rainbows coming down out of the clouds more than an arch of a rainbow. I happened to have the camera with me so I tried to take some shots while I was driving. You can't really see what we saw but it still looks pretty neat sitting on the water. Nothing else is going on today. Its raining so we're pretty much going to be stuck inside all day long. Oh well. Thats Guam for ya! It's either pretty or its not.

What a BORING Day!

Yesterday was an excruciatingly BORING day! Rodney had duty so the kids and I were home alone all day and all night. In the middle of the day, the tv and the Internet stopped working due to some problem out in town. I had already cleaned the house earlier in the day so I was stuck watching kids movies all day long. (I'm so tired of them because they want to watch the same ones over and over again.) So, I decided to start organizing pictures that I have printed out for Tatums scrapbook. When the kids went to bed I decided to scrapbook. Only, I had to fight with Rodney Jr. for a half an hour to go to sleep. The Internet router is in his room and because the Internet wasn't working, a little 'triangle', as he calls it, was red instead of green. I can not begin to tell you how badly this freaked him out. Even though he also has a fishy light in his room, and all the other lights were the same, he just did not want to go to sleep with this red light on his box! I finally got him to calm down and got in the shower, only to be cut short because I could hear him freaking out again. I threatened him with calling daddy and that finally did it.
Instead of scrapbooking I ended up getting into this huge task of organizing my scrapbook supplies. Any of you who have seen my scrapbook stuff knows how HUGE of a task this is! The only other person I know who has more stuff than me is my mom and she, seriously, could start a store with all of her stuff! I only lasted until 10pm and decided I had about enough. I didn't even put a dent into what needs to be done with all that stuff! So, not feeling like putting it all away, I left it all on my bed and went to sleep in Tristans room. (That was just my excuse to sleep in his room. Really, when Rodney has duty, I need to sleep with the tv on and since it wasn't working, I didnt' want to be alone in the dark. haha. You see where my son gets it from now??)
So, if you were bored reading this post I am sorry but, you can see how bored I was feeling yesterday. Here are some pics of the kids on our 'pajama day'. While Rodney was making Tristan laugh, Tatum was trying to go potty. No success but as soon as I put her diaper back on she went! Go figure! That was our very first try and atleast she came to me to tell me she had to go. Thats a start right?

Change of Plans

Yesterday we all got dressed alike and went out to find a perfect spot for a family photo. But, of course, it started to rain before we could even attempt the picture. So, we came home and ended up going to the playground instead. I know everyone is tired of seeing playground pics but I took some anyways. I was in the mood to take pics and was disappointed that it didn't work out. The kids were cute with each other and they were playing with other little kids for a while. When those kids left Tatum chased them and said "Wait for me!". Poor girl. She just wants some friends!
I took my naked pic of Tristan today. Everyone knows that Rodney HATES when I take naked pics of the kids but they are so darn cute and their skin is so wrinkly and they will never be like that again until they are old people! It would be a little more disturbing to take pictures of them naked then! haha. I couldn't get him to look at the camera but the pics are still kinda cute anyways. I tried to imitate the Picture People pics of Rodney and Tatum on Tristan but, he kept sinking into the beanbag so, that didnt' work out to well either! I think our beanbags may be too soft to get the picture right!
We also managed to get out into some good weather today. We took the kids to the pool for a few hours. It was kind of packed so I didn't take a lot of pictures but Rodney took a few of Tristan 'swimming'. He slept most of the time. We came home and Rodney made me the BEST DINNER EVER!!! I swear it was better than going out to eat and everyone knows how much I LOVE going out to eat! I have to say it was a pretty good day!

My attempt at taking a "Picture People" picture. He's so darn CUTE!

Whats new with us.

This week has been very refreshing for me. Yesterday I was invited to a moms group so I finally went (one of the women had to come pick me up since I dont have a car here.) It was a lot of fun! It was nice to have adult conversations with other women and it was nice to see Rodney and Tatum have so much fun! Rodney Jr. didn't want to leave! Which made me think more into getting him into the child development center unti next September when he can be entered into pre-school. I was invited again today to another play group. This time it was at a play gound and the kids had a blast. They are absolutely filthy! All three kids are napping now and I'm enjoying the quiet time.
I've been missing everyone back home pretty bad lately, so, getting out was really what I needed to give me a boost. We're sending the van out here so I can get out of the house more often and not have to rely on someone else picking me up! 2 more years to go out here. Seems like a REALLY long time but I'm putting all my efforts into holding out that long! No new pictures of yesterday or today but hopefully we'll go out as a family this weekend so, I'll be posting new pics! Hoping everyone back home is doing well!
